What is collected when you visit

Hosting and delivery. This site is served through Cloudflare Pages. As with any hosting provider, the request needed to deliver a page necessarily exposes technical information to that provider — your IP address, your browser and operating system (the user-agent string), the page requested, the time of the request, and the referring page. Cloudflare acts as a processor for this. How Cloudflare handles that data is set out in Cloudflare's own privacy policy.

Analytics and Cloudflare-injected features. Every page on this site loads Cloudflare Web Analytics, delivered as a script from static.cloudflareinsights.com, which also sends a small page-timing measurement back to Cloudflare. On pages that display an email address, Cloudflare additionally injects a script (email-decode.min.js) that obfuscates the address to make it harder for scrapers to harvest. When the site was checked on 17 September 2026, the browser reported no cookies set on this domain. All of these are Cloudflare features that come with the hosting; this site adds no tracking of its own on top of them.

Nothing else is asked of you. There is no registration, no login, no newsletter signup, and no comment form. You are never asked for your name, your address, your LEGO account, an order number, or payment details.

Advertising

This site displays advertisements supplied by third-party advertising networks. These are the parties that need disclosing, because their behaviour is not under this site's control:

• Advertising networks may set and read cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies in your browser in order to serve ads, to limit how often you see the same ad, and to measure whether an ad was viewed or clicked.
• Some advertising networks use information about your visits to this and other websites in order to show advertising they judge more relevant to you. This is commonly called interest-based or personalised advertising.
• Advertising networks act as independent controllers of the data they collect through their own technology. Their handling of it is governed by their privacy policies, not this one.

The specific advertising partners running on this site are not yet finalised. Once advertising is live, this section will name each network and link to its privacy policy and its opt-out page. The list will be kept current.

How to limit advertising tracking

• In your browser. Every major browser can block or delete third-party cookies, and most offer a setting to send a "Do Not Track" signal. Blocking third-party cookies is the single most effective step.
• Through the advertising network. Most networks publish their own opt-out page. Once the partners are named above, their opt-out links will be listed alongside them.
• Through industry programmes. The opt-out tools run by the advertising industry's self-regulatory bodies cover many networks at once.

Note that opting out does not remove advertising. It reduces the extent to which ads are selected using data about your browsing.

What this site does not do

• It does not create an account for you or store personal details about you.
• It does not sell, rent, or trade visitor data.
• It does not ask for your LEGO account, order history, or delivery address.
• It does not submit a replacement-parts request on your behalf, and never asks for the information needed to do so.

Because the site holds no account records and no submitted personal data, there is generally nothing on file that identifies you. If you believe that is not the case, contact us and it will be looked into.

Links to other sites

The guides link out to external sites, including official pages and parts marketplaces such as BrickLink. Once you follow a link, the destination site's own privacy policy governs what happens next. This policy does not cover those sites.

Some of the outbound links on this site are affiliate links. If you follow one and go on to buy something, we may earn a commission on that purchase at no extra cost to you. Any link of this kind is labelled as an affiliate link at the point where it appears on the page.

Affiliate relationships do not decide what the guides recommend. The routes described here come from the first-hand accounts outlined on the about page, whether or not a link attached to them pays a commission.

Children

BrickMend is written for adult builders and collectors. It is not directed at children under 13, and no information is knowingly collected from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes — in particular the addition or removal of an advertising partner — will be reflected in the advertising section above.
